1.2 Million Miles And Counting In A Tesla! EV World News
A 2014 Tesla Model S has been driven almost 1.2 million miles.
The car is on its 14th motor and fourth battery pack, highlighting the owner's dedication to maintaining and using the vehicle.
The average daily mileage over the past 10 years is over 350 miles, totaling 131,000 miles per year.
The owner, Hans George Fun Gimen Hornberg, previously broke a million kilometers in 2019 and has almost doubled that mileage since then.
Despite motor issues, particularly with rear motors, the owner has maintained the car's reliability by using refurbished units, replacing the rear motor 13 times, and going through one battery pack every 400,000 miles.

I figured he was either doing Doordash or Uber/Lyft. Nope, he's just driving around the world! 350k-400k miles on one battery is excellent. And while Tesla swears super charging is no worse on the battery than L2 charging, I don't believe them and feel the battery would last even longer with just L2 charging.

incredible, there are no E.V right now comparable to tesla in battery life and build quality overall, and rarely to see people hit more than 100K miles

Every Motor should be considered as transmission replacement, and every battery should be considered as an Engine replacement in comparable ICE.
Average Toyota will do this with original trans+engine.

ICE cars do 1 million on one motor. This is insane and shows how throw away an EV is. tens of thousands of dollars for battery packs. There is a 1970s Volvo P1800 that had more than 3 million miles and was on the original motor and trans. To keep this car going for 1.2 million miles he has paid the cost of a new car twice over. Mind boggling why ANYONE would think this is good.
