Hubsan Zino Mini Pro Review

This is my full in-depth review of the new Hubsan Zino Mini Pro drone. This drone has been highly anticipated by many due to the features and specs that were advertised. This is the very first sub 250g drone with obstacle avoidance and tracking. In this video, we test the Zino mini pro in many different ways such as range, video quality, hovering, and obstacle avoidance. I offer up my opinion of whether I feel this drone is worth the money and if it's a good competitor for the DJI Mini 2.

Good honest review! Thanks. The calibration before every flight would be a deal breaker for me personally but some people may not mind. Video quality is extremely important since these are basically flying cameras. I did find the distance impressive. Perhaps some future updates will correct some or all of the issues you mentioned. Thank you for another great review Sean. (I hope I spelled your name correctly this time.) 🙂 The whole reason for a GPS stabilized camera drone is to get great aerial pictures and video. The Hubsan Zino Mini Pro, just does not give us that. It's too bad because the feature set on this drone is really great.

Great video, Sean! I think the early consensus on the Zino Mini Pro, is that its performance isn't up to par with its specs. We all want DJI to have competition, but right now, this isn't it

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Hubsan Zino Mini Pro now supports Obstacle Avoidance, Waypoints and Tracking/follow me functionality. I think your video mentioned that some of the advanced features weren't yet supported? What advanced feature were you referring to exactly?

That is a really good drone, don't take me wrong. But when comparing it to other DJI drones in my collection such as the DJI Mini 2 it doesn't stand up really well apart from it having front and rear sensors.

I was really looking forward to the reviews of this. I was disappointed my hopes of a DJI Mini 3 were dashed when they went the SE route instead, so I was hoping for a viable competitor to advance the Mini concept.

Just waiting for my Hubsan Zino mini pro. I received my tracking number today. I also believe its going to get better. As they keep releasing new firmware updates. The other honest true is. This drone has very little it came out. And Hubsan been consisting releasing updates for it.

Mine should arrive any day now, I believe it has an almost I" sensor, (wonder is it a Sony) larger pixels and 48 m of them great when you need to crop or zoom
, so theoretically it should produce much more detailed photographs say for printing than the mini 2 this is why I chose it, can you do a test and compare with DJI mini 2
or any more info on this (as I nearly bought the mini 2) Thanks Peter UK also do you think the hybrid zoom is a x2 optical, the rest digital.

Thank you for a great review! Clear and concise. I've been waiting for someone to have a honest non bias review that highlights the pros and cons. There does seem to be a handful of issues with the Zino and I don't think I want to "wait" for "hopefull" firmware updates. I was just about to buy the Zino and after watching this I think I am going to go with the DJI Mini 2. I want something that is reliable, solid, great video quality and less issues. I am planning on doing a few video shoots in October and I don't think there will be enough time for DJI to release a newer version of the Mini 2 not to mention when it will actually be released, delays, backorders, etc. It really does suck because I have a very bad feeling DJI will release a new one shortly after I buy one!

Great review. I have a Mavic Mini and love it. Sure, obstacle avoidance would be awesome, but I would rather have great images.

Due to many of issues you have mentioned in your video, I have decided to cancel my order of this drone. Maybe sometime down the road if they can work out all the bugs, I might reconsider and order it again.Thanks for another great review Shawn.
