Blablabla. You will never play in the Grand Prix

It’s so refreshing to see Levon playing at his peak 2800+ strength again, I hope he can keep this up because I really think he is a significant threat to Magnus in this form

Content idea: You and another chess streamer play “Guess the Evaluation” where you both get a certain amount of time to analyze a position (obviously without an engine) and see who guessed most accurately. It would be cool to see how an evaluation was completely wrong because of some nasty tactic that was missed. I feel like this would be both very entertaining and instructional.

Man, that game of Aronian and Leinier was absolutely incredible. No matters how much chess you watch, there is always something new that can impress you. Thank you for analyzing the game Levy :)

"We would have had every square on the d file occupied. Have you ever seen something like that?" Yes, Levy, in this most recent world championship. Did you not know that? Maybe you should watch GothamChess's recaps on it

I watched both Hikaru and Levy’s recaps. Hikaru pointed out something very interesting that Levy didn’t touch on. Levy’s comments are mainly about how the computer evaluates the moves. But Hikaru pointed out that under time constraint, he finds it easier to come up with simple plays so that he has more time to think subsequently when he needs to be precise. The point here is that in human vs human, time is a critical factor, which contributes to why Hikaru made certain decisions that are not optimal from engine’s perspective.

11:20 The best sound I’ve heard from Levy

I’ve been waiting for another guess the Elo. These episodes simultaneously make me hopeful for my improvement by bad play by 1800s, and makes me feel overrated by watching 900s playing a better game than me lol

Levy at around 12 Minutes if this was a regular GTE episode:
"If I had to guess their ELO, somewhere between 1000-1100. Maybe 1250-1300 tops. At worst I'm getting trolled by 2 800's or 2 drunk GM's."

"Lot of harrassment!!" Levon is still a beast and Hikaru is crushing with the white pieces. Can Leinier stop the juggernaut? Will Richard steal a game against Hikaru who will be playing the black pieces? Should be interesting! Thanks for recaps and the hard work!

7:43 actually something like that occured just three days ago during the Round 5 of Grand Prix in Wojtaszek-Fedoseev game. After 12. Bf6 every square of the f-file was occupied (with three bishops, two rooks, two pawns, and one knight)

Imagine being stuck in a postion where you have to hope to play Hikaru in a fast time control (rapid). . . ouch.
