Nice that you got a solo project. You need to make some adjustments on your 3D printer, you look to be way under extruding your filament. These printers clog up all the time, so it might be good to get you a nozzle kit, with extra nozzles in it. Also watch the gears that feed the filament, the Extruder, if its plastic on the arms, the filament will eat through it, you can upgrade to an aluminum one real cheap usually, and try for some stainless gears once your brass ones wear out. Your top and bottom layers look a little thin, but it could be a partial clog. There are so many possibilities. Have fun with it.
