I have been a Thunderbirds kick, and was circling back to dig into your “Walking to My Baby” post…really dig your song dissection choices, and your teaching and playing style.
Like so many T-bird songs, this is a KILLER riff. Jimmie really is genius. Stevie burned SO bright, and drew so much from Jimmie. Both beautiful musical souls. Totally underrated.

Hey Jake, fantastic cover on one of my favorite Jimmie Vaughn songs. I love the Sam and Dave original, but I find the T-Birds version raunchier and dirtier sounding-which I love. Here is praying you do a full lesson on it.🙏🙏 I could only find one other tutorial on YT and it is not complete. Cheers!!!!👍👍
