I Bought My Dream Camera | Red Komodo 6K

This is not clickbait or a prank. I am officially a Red owner, I bought my dream camera. I have heard all the chatter online about this camera and after testing it out for myself I pulled the trigger and picked one up!

The ports and cables are BNC, the signal is SDI. HDMI was developed for consumers, BNC was a part of broadcast production for decades now.

RED Raw and global shutter. That's why I want it. Oh, and false, BRAW can be used in Adobe applications. Doing VFX work now on a 6K BRAW file in AE. congrats on the cam fam.

I'll tell you fam that indeed as someone who just got the RED Komodo I feel the same way. I've been on the Sony A7 series for the past few years and had the c100, 200 Ursa Mini 4.6K RED Raven, RED Epic MX & Scarlett and other camera's and nothing has come close to the image that the Komodo has provided for the price, form factor and quality. Legit the best purchase I've ever made. I couldn't say that this camera hasn't re inspired me to get back out in the field in the same way I used to feel about camera's when I first got the urge to shoot.

P.S if you have a RED people will take you more serious 😏😉

Hi, which is the onboard monitor you are using ? I usually rely on the red onboard monitor for exposure judgement (eye judgement). Which is the ideal and best onboard monitor for Komodo which can give an accurate exposure judgement ? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
