Guys it was stated that Kanae was the 3rd Strongest Hashira during her time. The only Hashiras that were stronger than her were Sanemi and Gyomei. She was present in Sanemi's first hashira meeting according to the Kimetsu No Yaiba wiki. She easily wouldve wiped the floor with mitsuri and giyu wasnt a hashira yet.

For those who believe that Mitsuri Wins . Kanae managed to resist the 2nd demonic moon in the evening until dawn while mitsuri during the fights with the demonic one she only healed herself... but it does not mean that she is zero mitsuri is very strong but less strong than kanae.

HEAVY CAP. I think Mitsuri outspeeds Kanae. Dude she literally has the mark that is said to increase stats like strength, speed, stamina, and others. Reaction also goes to Mitsuri because she fought against Muzan and her techniques requires insane reaction speed and control.
And Douma literally didn't remember Kanae, meaning their battle was unremarkable. This is the Douma that keeps track of the slayers he fought. And basing on the fact that Kanae wasn't able to use the final form of the breath of flowers means that she was speedblitzed
Evidence for being speedblitzed by Douma:
"In Shinobu's flashback her eyes weren't red or damaged indicating she wasn't able to use the final form of breath of flowers, which means Douma was able to severely wound her without her using the final form, it won't make sense for her not to use it if she were in the brink of death unless Douma was able to incapacitate her before she could even use it, meaning she was blitzed"
Mitsuri fought toe to toe againg an unkillable Zouhakuten and was able to fight Muzan with the Hashiras, a greater feat than "not being eaten by Douma because of the sunrise"

Everyone say that douma not serious while held kanae, i dont think mitsuri can fight even not serious douma cuz she's slower than shinobu that got killed even faster than mitsuri, also yes we dont know how long kanae held douma and it still long bcuz it say "until sunrise" if they want to make kanae held douma just few minute, they will not being too over put word until sunrise. And i know mitsuri fought series zohakuten but not serious douma can easily cut serious zohakuten off...just it annoying when someone make mitsuri look overpower

The only thing we know about Kanae is she managed to fight Douma until sunrise but we don’t know how long the fight was, Doma usually plays with his opponents and doesn’t take it serious. That’s literally the only thing we know about Kanae she a featless fodder

Mitsuri alone could handle upper moon 4 without a mark, but once she did get her mark hantengu noticed her mark he got more serious leading to Mitsuri try harder at the end she ran out of stamina she lasted hours and til sunrise too

She actually fought him until sunrise his strongest form with minor injuries she also dodged Muzan multiple times, despite being poisoned.

Edit: The only thing you guys say is “but Kanae fought Douma until sunrise”

Now here's the deal.
3. Shinobu
= She obviously has more battle IQ and if there's a battle against Kanao, she will use poison and since Kanao is short, the poison will quickly circulate in her entire body and she will die. And Kanao can't even catch Shinobu in the first place; she's the 4th fastest hashira since even Douma got shocked at her speed. And she's obviously on the offensive side, given from how she bullied that spider demon on the mountain. All it takes is just one strike from Shinobu to kill Kanao. And she's most definitely agile as hell so that's even a benefit. Her sword thrusts are so fast and powerful that they can pierce boulders. She also uses the Dance of the Centipede attack, where she runs in a zigzag pattern to confuse her opponents so she can reach Kanao faster to strike her.
4. Kanao (She's only better than Shinobu in raw strength)

And even if Douma said that Kanao is more skilled, there's a difference in between fighting a demon and a human so Shinobu is simply better.
While it's obvious that Mitsuri easily soloes Shinobu and Kanae is so far one of the strongest swordswomen in the series.
