The market is still fairly small for bluetooth boombox-style speakers...especially ones that don't break the bank (JBL, i'm looking at you...). So towards the end of last year I spent some time narrowing down my top picks for a bluetooth boombox under $200, and I’ve come up with 3 finalists: Soundcore’s Motion Boom Plus, Tribit’s StormBox Blast and Tronsmart's Bang.

I have the Tribit and the Soundcore. Both are great speakers for the price, but the Tribit is slightly louder without distortion and more powerful bass than the Soundcore. I’m a bass heavy listener, so the Tribit wins for me. I listen to the Soundcore mostly at lower volumes indoors.

I have the Tribit Stormbox blast and the JBL boombox 3, and to my ears the Tribit sounds fuller with rich bass and all around clarity, not to mention I get 16 hour battery at 50-70% volume with no need for XBass and with the silly battery draining lights OFF

Actually, most reviews of the Motion Boom Plus and the Tribit prefer the Tribit for better clarity across all genres of music.

I have two Soundcore Motion Boom+ speakers and I use them in tandem with a nebula cosmos laser projector, and it is AWESOME!

Outstanding video. All I ever hear is how great the Blast is and I just never saw that. All anyone talks about is the bass but it's like they don't care about the rest of the audio spectrum. I purchased the Boombox 3, Motion Boom Plus and Blast. It was pretty quickly that I decided the Tribit was not the speaker I wanted. It was dull when compared to the other two.The Boombox was better sounding than the MB+ but not by that much. I did purchase the BB3 but just because I got it at an incredible price.

The fact that u can throw the boom
Box (boom plus ) down a river go catch it at the other end and it’ll still be bumpin. And not break. Is crazy to me that it sounds so good. U should do this now with the upgraded version of the tronsmart bang

There is an urge to get several of the Soundcores and set them up in my office at because. I have the motion +, that thing amazed me so much I am literally awaiting my delivery of the motion boom plus right UPS drive all over town on their app as I write this. The dude has gone near my house twice and then across town twice.

Nailed it! Great comparisons and review. I got a Tribit and loving it for just its wall reverberating bass. For clarity, go for Soundcore.

The Tribit sounds fuller, deeper and BETTER And I get 16 hours battery life at 50-70 % volume
