Garmin Forerunner 35 - How to Soft Reset or Restore Default Settings

In this video we will look at how you can do a soft reset or restart on your garmin forerunner 35. We do this when the device is frozen or behaves badly. Note that doing this might or might not delete your history. So it's a good idea to sync regularly.

** GET THE GEAR ON AMAZON**

HOW TO SOFT RESET WHEN FROZEN
1. simply press & hold the POWER/BACKLIGHT button for at least 15 seconds until the device restarts.

Pressing & holding the button for 1 second should bring up the shut down prompt.

HOW TO RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS
You might want to wipe the device, when selling or letting someone else use your forerunner. This method should put your device back to "out of the box" mode.

1. Press MENU |SETTINGS | SYSTEM | RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS
2. Select YES

It worked If it freezes, hold the power button ie top left button for 15 seconds and tadaa

Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me as the screen is completely blank. It syncs with Garmin Express, so is working, but there is no display whatsoever on the screen. I have tried absolutely everything, from hard reset, soft reset. Absolutely nothing. I guess I will have to fork out for another watch.

If I do a factory reset, will it erase all the history on Garmin Connect? I want to reset but keep the server achievements on Garmin connect system, is this possible
