What a run by Zoe Hobbs again at the Australian champs tonight! 11.17 with only a +1.1 tail breeze. A new Australian Championship meeting record!
Recalculating for wind assistance, her recent New Zealand record of 11.15 with +1.4 was approx 0.01 sec better than the Australian record of 11.11 with +1.9 set by Melissa Breen in 2011.
Recalculating for wind assistance, tonight's run was about 0.01 sec slower than that 2011 Australian record, so it's just a matter of time before she becomes the fastest female in history on both sides of the Tasman!
Starting Lineup and times as follows:
Lane 2: Ebony Lane 11.66
Lane 3: Taylah Cruttenden 11.62
Lane 4: Mia Gross 11.43
Lane 5: Zoe Hobbs 11.17
Lane 6: Ella Connolly 11.29
Lane 7: Bree Masters 11.33
Lane 9: Monique Quirk 11.65

What I do not like about modern women's athletics is their attire - why are they running in an attire more suitable for swimming? Who wants to look at the navels and disproportionate exposure? Women need not be dressed this way to perform well. Why not wear a nice decent vest? One can run just as fast.
