Aside from the fact that it's been quite a long time since I've posted a pop cover on this channel, I've been gigging this song at weddings for a few years now since it came up as a request a couple of summers ago, and it's become one of my favourites to perform. So, I hope you like my take on it!

This arrangement was a great challenge to create, and is one of those songs where all the stars align, and somehow I'm able to fit in the melody, chords, bassline and percussion parts for the full duration. It's not always easy to tell if that's going to be possible when I start arranging a song, especially if it is for a client and something I wouldn't normally listen to, or don't know already, but it is so satisfying when it all comes together. That's something that's been so gratifying about taking requests from my clients over the years, that it has challenged me to dig deeper and find new ways to make modern material work for the harp. I think this piece showcases my favourite things about that process, when it really goes well.
