What a great adventure for some young guys! A friend and I floated Spring Creek in Cherokee County long ago during the springtime higher water when we were young. It was just for the day but a lot of fun.

I am and have been considering a historically accurate novel/screenplay called: Red River Down
Circa late 1800 floating the river from Oklahoma to New Orleans, before the locks and dams, the scenery, the social norms, the characters, the dangers of the yes, of whilst navigating through, attempting to avoid, hiding from, confronted, captured...and evading brutal bands of opportunistic river Pirates along this current fueled highway....
