When I was a child, from ages 6 to 11, I was sexually abused by a man who held high positions in the ward and stake the whole time. He told me that if I told anyone, no one would believe me because of his position in church and community.
I tried to tell and it turned out that he was right.

My late brother told me he always lied to the bishop about drinking Coke (when it was still prohibited) and not "practicing onanism" (my words to avoid YouTube censorship). The bishops always bought it. There is no discernment in Mormonism.

My daughter was in a ward where a member of the bishopric had spent time in jail for molesting his daughter. Probably in this case he was just part of the wards big boys club because he would have been picked by the bishop not the general authorities but probably approved by the stake president. I noticed that in most wards I lived in people were called into leadership positions because of the click they belonged to. If you were part of the temple card carrying club you pretty much were exempt from being in the cub scouts or nursery. 😂

could you imagine the church using your tithing money this way? And how many times have they done this? just a few thoughts of mine. I hope she heals and that she forgives so she can move forward and embrace her own life without regret.

These things need to be dealt with outside of the church right away directly with the law. As Utah grows and we get more people from out of state that actually know how to handle these situations as far as getting law enforcement from outside of Utah.

The Church also seems to no know about the lies all the kids my age told about pornography who went on to serve missions and such (late 2010s)

I'm not sure that discernment is Always there for everyone. I was told we ALL have gifts. Some MIGHT have the gift of discernment. I would rather lean towards being HONEST!!!

If the ordinance is okay to change, that means there's no discernment in the Mormon church. God is yesterday, today and tomorrow. The mormon church claims it leads by the prophet who communicates with God yet it doesn't got ordinances right. It doesn't make sense
