I had a couple of that model...good box. Easy to swap parts in and out...I swapped a workin tape deck from one bad boombox to a non workin one that everything else worked well and was mint outside to make one good boombox

I just bought one of these off Ebay 3 days ago .. what a mess. the right speaker wouldnt come on till i shook it and it finally came on .. and the LED display is hanging back about 2 inches back and down. the auto stop isnt working, the AMSS doesnt work .. and it seems to struggle sometimes rewinding and fast forwarding, sumtimes its ok and others its not .. seems to depend on how much of the tape is on one of the reels. and on one tape i put in today it was dragging really slow. i just watched a couple of your videos and seems like it isnt too hard to open up the case so im gonna give it a shot .. ill at least get the lights back in place and hopefully can fix the speaker, hope its just a loose wire .. as far as doing the belts or tires or whatever you wanna call them i dont know if i want to attempt that myself. probably just go thru the phone book and find a repair guy. what sucked was i bought this one because it looked the nicest out of the 3 M9935's i was looking at and the most expensive one too so i figured id pay for the more expensive one cuz its probably in better shape ... i shoulda bought the one that looked like it had 3 inches of dirt all over it for 49.99 .. but i buy the one that was 110.00 and everything that could possibly be wrong with it is wrong with it .. lol

Trying to get mine apart in order to do some repairs. All the screws that I can see are out but cover seems to be held yet around the cassette deck
