This is the forgotten era of Fleetwood Mac. Everyone knows the Buckingham-Nicks era, and the Peter Green era, but the Bob Welch years have a lot of great tunes.

This is such an underrated and under appreciated song and era of Fleetwood Mac

Every time this ever came on the radio back in the day, everyone would say, 'Oh yeah!'

This is one of the most mesmerizing songs ever. I like it just as much as later Fleetwood Mac.

After Bob Welch left the group, Fleetwood Mac stayed in touch. Christine and Mick backed Welch on his big hit single "Sentimental Lady" and Stevie sang harmony on "Devil Wind".

It took me DECADES to figure out what/who this song was. I'd only ever hear snips of it on the radio and then only really late at night when I was driving. All this was before the age of cell phones (unless you were rich enough to own a brick and I was not) so I couldn't just call the radio station and say "who was that?". Eventually forgot about the song and then one day I heard it. Jumped on the internet and BOOM! Fleetwood Mac. I was stunned. I loved them but didn't know much about the pre-Stevie years. Was given a whole new era to explore.

I was a radio disc jockey and our station was promoting his concert here in Beaumont, Texas. Bob came in for an interview and he and I hit it off. Went back to my office and talked music and got him to autograph my album along with getting a picture taken with him. So kind, gentle and real. RIP, Bob and thank you for one of the most exciting events in my life. By the if you're reading this I know you remember all of the "details". *wink*

With Christine’s passing I instantly thought of the “Bare Trees” album (my first Fleetwood Mac purchase) and the songs “Dust” and Christine’s contribution "Spare Me A Little Of Your Love”. CHeck out that album, it’s Gold for sure!

Still one of my favorite albums. "Emerald Eyes" is another great song.

This "middle"version of Fleetwood Mac was my introduction to them, and has remained my favorite version, with this album and the Bare Trees album that also included Danny Kirwan.

Welsh is great with guitarist Danny Kirwin on the LP "Bare Trees". The title track and Christine's "Spare Me a Little of Your Love" are sweet.

Great song, fantastic backroads driving music. They had a few different vocalist & guitarists before Steve & Lindsey arrived

Early Fleetwood! I remember this song coming on the radio frequently in the early 70's. Will always live in my memory!

Quite stoned the first time I listened to this and it was a transcendental experience. Enjoyed enormously every time since.

"Morning Rain" from 1971's _Future Games_ album and the 1972 "Spare Me a Little" from _Bare Trees_ are stunningly beautiful jams featuring Christine McVie's piano and vocals. Not chartbusters but they both spent serious time on rock radio and represent that era of the Mac perfectly

A very underrated song and album from Fleetwood Mac. Nice to hear it again. I haven't heard it in a long time....

Check out the song "Why" - it's the album closer, a Christine McVie song
