As someone who's been shielding without breaks since the pandemic started, I have to say I *love* the bits of nature in your videos like this. Always love your bookish content, just wanted to add that so you know the extra work of vlogging when you're *on break* is so appreciated. Hurrah for green space and animals! It always reminds me of how I read somewhere that it was scientifically proven that even looking at pictures of dogs (vs seeing them in real life/hanging with one of your own) is good for your mental health... your walks amongst the trees and this pig/pony/deer- dappled jaunt are giving me that secondhand serotonin :)

When you said little women and cath kidston I was just like, this is where I need to live. I LOVE all the nature clips, I am going to a shepherds hut in December and I quite honestly cant wait to just be away in the middle of nowhere!

I also haven't read or seen The Talented Mr. Ripley! Now I'm wanting to move it up in my TBR!

Ooooh!! There's absolutely nothing I didn't love about your video. Books, animals (awww, that lovely cat! The flame-red colour of the fox darting about etc), such tranquil and idyllic scenes of nature, those vibrantly-coloured tortillas, the floral Cath Kidston prints in the room... I could go on and on! Mrs March sounds intriguing, the way you talked about it, on it goes to my TBR!

I love this video so much - it’s so calming and cute! Thank you for taking us with us! It makes me want to go to the New Forest immediately. The way you review the books is so interesting and now I feel like I need more Patricia Highsmith in my life.

Thoroughly enjoyable video, Jen. I have always been fascinated by the New Forest, and enjoyed your brief explanation at the beginning about the pigs! Some fascinating books here, and I agree about Patricia Highsmith - she's such a terrific author. Looking forward to reading 'Mrs March'. Thanks for those lovely glimpses of the New Forest!

I always love your New Forest vlogs and stories, especially all the piggies and ponies! So cosy. The Talented Mr Ripley has been on my 'should read' for so long too

I love that you enjoy Patricia Highsmith's books. I've read both Deep Water and Cry Of An Owl this year (in fact both got me through quarantaine) and I also enjoyed the "theatricalness" of her works. 🙂

Thank you for the piggy footage. How lovely they are. I have never read nor seen a Patricia Highsmith story and you have convinced me it is time I got hold of some of her writing once I make a dent into my current TBR tower. Along with Nicci French.

I absolutely love Highsmith. There are 5 Ripley books & I have all of them. They stand up to repeated reading, for me at least. I have read her other books too, the short stories too. She never disappoints.

Yay, you liked The Talented Mr. Ripley. That is my favorite crime series ever, and it's not as popular as it should be. The others might not be as good, but I still think it's worth reading in its entirety.
Also that cat is gorgeous.

I definitely want to go to the New Forest now. I love that the pigs and ponies can wander around there.
I haven't read any Patricia Highsmith, but now I want to 😄 I might get the German translation, because they re-published many of her books here last year in very pretty editions.
My library has the audiobook of Mrs March, so that's on the wishlist now 🙂
Thanks for the lovely video!
