It's interesting that you posted this today. I just had half a bottle of French red wine. With all those antioxidants in me, I'm going to live forever. Or, I could just be slightly drunk and overestimating my capabilities.

Red wine should be slightly chilled. The room temperature thing is a myth based on the fact that old-fashioned French room temperature was colder than modern American room temperature. You may even have noticed that you called "room temperature" 59 to 64 degrees F, which are appropriate numbers for red wine. But the average American has their AC set much higher than that -- usually 68-72. And room temperature is often quoted even higher (74).
