Jim, N0HKA recently built a new ham shack and when complete he invited a few hams and friends over to take a look. I brought my video camera along and captured some video.

Nice set up. I like the J-38 straight key, I still have one that I use for SKCC events.

Congratulations on your new shack! Very impressive. Especially the custom smoker in the backyard!! Hi Hi! We smoke a lot of brisket for 15 hours at a time down here in south central Texas. Slow and low as they say👍. Would it be possible if you could tell me A little more about your beam and how much you like it?
Best regards, W5PN

Thanks for showing us around Larry. Jim the shack looks great!

Can I ask where you bought the wood on the walls from and the type? Almost looks hand milled.

I appreciate when creators take the time to think up a video, shoot all the footage, edit & edit & edit some more and then finally uploading and sharing their final creation for the rest of us to view. I enjoyed the content of this video with one exception. The audio is really lacking making it difficult to hear and understand everything. I’d like to offer this one piece of constructive criticism with the hope that it is received in a positive manner (which is my intention), so that your future videos don’t suffer the same issue. There are all types of microphone solutions out there, some costing hundreds if not thousands of $$$. I myself could neither afford nor wanted to spend big $$$ so, after watching countless videos here on YouTube over a six to seven month period showing all the different options and countless reviews (not unboxing but true reviews), I went with a VERY affordable wireless lavaliere/lapel mic that would work with video cameras as well as tablets or smartphones AND not cost me an “arm & a leg” to achieve great audio results. There are plenty of budget friendly options reviewed right here on YouTube for under $100 and even a few for just under $50. I chose Allvoxcom for my needs and paid around $46 at the time of purchase off Amazon. I’m not telling you to run out and buy that particular brand rather sharing my choice as one of the many options available. Whatever you decide, I wish you much success and look forward to your next video posting.
Best regards
