For all of my life (a 67 y old Dutchie) I am a fan of Pink Floyd and seen them several times.
This however is not a cover, this is the ultimate tribute from an exceptional band to an exceptional band

What great music and talents this band has

Dare I say it on this channel? This is one of those rare instances where I like this version better than the original. Marko’s voice just shines like a diamond. ❤

This is a Tribute to PF....heavier NW style version...so awesome. Do more their own material...there is plenty and you can not fail cause all are good. They are not like somebody else...they are like Nightwish...genuine pioneers and leaders of this genre globally since 1996.

My first real rabbit hole in music as a kid was actually Pink Floyd. And now Nightwish is my favourite band, what an awesome tribute. Great reaction!

I hope next week you show your friend the versatile voice of Floor Jansen

I get chills every time I see this, one of the best covers ever. All hail Marko, king of the north!

Nice reaction. The man with the horrible nail polish is Tuomas Holopainen. He is in fact the master mind of Nightwish who writes 95% of the music. Marko is not the singer who fronts the band. They have a female singer and what a singer she is. Floor Jansen is one of the best singers around, with incredible range and very versatile. I hope you continue your journey into their catalogue. They have great songs and all different but unmistakeably Nightwish. And one more thing.. as you might have noticed from this performance, these are all real musicians, they are better live than in the studio. Enjoy 🤘🏽

I've listened and seen this version probably a hundred times over the years and i still get chills when Empuu's second solo comes up and they just have all this passion in that song. And Marko's vocals go to a whole other level and Juka's drumming.. so good.

Just as well he liked it - Dave Gilmor did.

I love Pink Floyd, and I love Nightwish. Does this do justice to Floyd? Hell, yes!

The band individual talents really show here. Emppu & Marco killing it, with drums and synch perfect.

When you know the history of Nightwish and how this night would end, this performance becomes even more powerful, it was a band of brothers closing ranks and coming together in order to survive

Not so much a cover as a tribute....a love letter, if you will. Wait until he hears the lead has a few surprises for him.

As someone who has been slightly obsessed with Nightwish since I first heard them in 2001, this song just blew me away! I had loved Marko's presence on stage, but this one song made me wish I could sing like him more than anything.

I'm shocked. This concert soon will be 20 years old and even at that moment this band was legendary in its genre. How could a music manager never heard about it I have no clue. Did he ever hear about Metallica?

This is a tribute, but also has a lot of meanings for the band. As with everyone they were fans of Floyd but this song representing times past and the yearning comes into play as they were about to part ways with Tarja who they grew up as a band with. They had reached enough heights to become so popular in Finland that the Prime Minister was ask to comment on the break up. The original also had that dynamic but in reference to the past.
