As everyone else has said: it's about time. He's deserved this for every single season of The Americans, but especially for this last season, and I'm so glad that he's finally been recognized. Philip Jennings has been one of my most favorite TV characters since the Pilot of The Americans aired, and it's because of his performance. So well deserved.

i can't fathom how long i've waited for this guy to win an award and be acknowledged properly! he is so damn talented...!! he has a gift when it comes to accents and i fell in love with his acting when i first saw him in 'Brothers and Sisters'! such a well-deserved win !!!

I screamed when they called his name! I watched all 6 seasons in 2 weeks and it was an amazing show! I'm surprised it didn't get more recognition.

I just discovered The Americans (although I'd heard for years that it was really good). I binge-watched the first five seasons late at night and into the early morning while in London for a week. I didn't want to go to sleep it was THAT good! I had no idea! I then finished the series upon my return home. All I have to say is WOW!! What writing and acting - phenomenal. Both leads deserved the win, but I'm so happy Matthew got it. Phillip Jennings is by far one of the best characters ever written for television, and Matthew Rhys WAS that character; I'll miss seeing him line dance in cowboy boots! :) Bravo to him!

keri russell should have won too ...i mean come on she is KILIING it since season 1 and now that the series ended she can't even get rewarded 1 time !? so sad for her....i hoped also that the americans would win over GOT but at least i'm happy for Matthew
