When my cousin was a baby, no one could get him to drink anything, except one night, my dad, drunk and tired of my cousin crying and basically dehydrating/starving itself to death, gave this toddler some Mountain Dew. Immediately stopped crying and started drinking and eating again. Drank Mountain Dew ever since, and he’s one of the smartest and most hardworking honest people I know as an adult.

Edit: he didn’t ONLY drink Mountain Dew then and after and from then on. after he got a little bit (however small amount you’d give a toddler in that case) then just went back to eating normal baby stuff and had some every once in a while. I did kind of exaggerate, it was for only a (full) day or so and they thought about taking him to the doctor but yeah didn’t have to. Dudes a normal dude, crazy talented and smart and hardworking. Owns a company, is chief of a station and does tons of other stuff on top of being a dad. Mountain Dew isn’t some amazing drink, its MID at best. it’s just a funny story of how a stubborn baby got its first taste of soda, probably because of teething if I had to guess. Which is ironic because hes the oldest of us and was the last one to lose all his baby teeth.

Mountain dew is primarily flavored with orange but also has line and lemmon. And it was originally made to be a mixer for whiskey/moonshine hence the name mountin dew and the old moonshiner mascot

Originally, Canadian Mountain Dew had no caffeine (it does now) - 20-some years ago, I took my Canadian Cub Scout troop to a jamboree in the states. On the site there was a canteen that sold US Mountain Dew. My Cub Scouts were drinking so much of it that they were wired.
