2:30 to answer your question. The closer to the bridge the strings are, the "brighter" (more high frequencies can be heard) they sound. The Bridge is the lower part where the strings make contact btw. And because you want your lower strings to be more bassy and your high string to be brighter some guitar pickups have that angle. That's the same reason why they have 2 or 3 pickups, they usually are the same pickups, just in different positions and if they are closer to the frets they sound "darker" (less high frequencies) and the closer they are to the bridge the brighter they sound

7:56 Bro never underestimate the power of a minor pentatonic scale haha. It really depends on what chord you play behind it. For example, if you have a looper, I'd suggest you play a Fmaj7 chord like in rubato. Then play A minor pentatonic over it but like in a softly way, it just gives you a whole different sensation and maybe spice it up by putting some (Db) in between notes. Plini's background is very jazzy.
I also strongly suggest you check out videos from Tim Miller, an absolute jazz beast! His tutorials will change your entire guitar game.

Awesome to hear you back on some good stuff!

Check out Leprous- Castaway Angels for an incredible vocal performance.

You might be surprised to know plini also uses lots of minor pentatonic too, but uses larger intervals between the notes of a minor pentatonic, partly because he has long fingers and can reach those larger intervals. Also very modal with Dorian and Lydian.

He is more of a composer though as far as his solos, so he is very deliberate with hitting chord tones with his runs which is why his solos are so interesting, rather than running through typical blues riffs without regard to the chords. But lots of minor pentatonic with larger intervals sprinkled with chord tones.

I remember covering this song a while ago for an audition haha. he loves to use the Lydian mode and play some chromatic notes between his phrases or change the chord behind

You should definitely check out jakub zytecki... He has similar vibe to plini. He is so underrated. Some great songs include creature comfort, sunflower etc.

You really should do the whole EP "Sweet Nothings", also, could you check out the album "The Shape of Colour" by Intervals, I know that you've already reacted to Libra but it would be cool if you could do the rest of the album.

The pickups are slanted because his guitar is a multiscale

Look into the modes of the major scale and learn your intervals
