We're currently transitioning from Wonderware 2014 to Aveva System Platform 2023. This upgrade involved porting the GR node from WW2014 to ASP 2023 without modifications. Our system is configured with a Primary and a Secondary server in a load sharing setup, with each server running 7 primary and 7 backup AppEngines for Application Objects as well as one DIO AppEngine on each server. The application servers for both systems run on the same host. For example, WW2014 AS01 is on the same host as ASP 2023 AS01, and similarly, WW2014 AS02 shares its host with ASP2023 AS02.

During server failovers on Wonderware 2014, we typically experience data gaps of around 25-30 seconds. However, with the Aveva System Platform 2023, these data gaps most of the time exceed 45 seconds. We've communicated with Aveva support, and they suggest that the 2022 Windows server might be introducing a larger delay. For context, our Wonderware 2014 servers run on Windows 2012.

For those who have made a similar transition, could you share the operating system you were running when you conducted your demonstrations? Any insights or advice would be much appreciated.
