Apply for a Silver badge
The super exciting and sparkling new Silver badge is awarded to Blue Peter fans who show individual acts of kindness. To earn the new Silver badge, you must show kindness by doing something for your community, or another person. You may do some super fundraising, volunteer, speak up against injustice, or help a friend. You can apply using our online form or by post.

To apply for a Silver badge you must be between 6-15 years old.

Our brand new Silver badge has been created to shine a light and elevate kids who do things for others, and we wanted to mark the BBC’s 100 year birthday, with a brand new inspirational badge.

To earn this badge, you must:
Apply for your Silver badge online using the uploader form, or click the 'get this activity' button above, to download the paper application form.
Ask your parent or guardian for permission to apply and ask them to read the Privacy Notice and badge attraction terms and conditions.
Tell us about what you have done to earn your badge. Perhaps you’ve helped someone, you may have done something kind in your community, or maybe you’ve spoken out about something you believe in.
Upload a photo, video or artwork to show us how you’ve helped.
Get your parent or guardian to help you fill out your form and personal details.

If applying by post, send your application with the correct postage to: Blue Peter, BBC Bridge House, MediaCityUK, Salford, M50 2BH.

If you already have an old-style Silver badge, fear not… you can apply for a brand new Silver badge.

What happens when I've sent my application?
Thousands of children apply for badges each year and it can take up to 12 weeks for your badge to arrive, so please be patient! If you have any further questions, check out our badge Q&A pages.

My badge arrived! How do I use it?
When you receive your Blue Peter badge, check the letter that came with it. If we have everything we need, the letter will confirm that your Blue Peter badge ID card will be arriving in the near future.

If your letter asks you to register your details please fill in the badge card form (the badge card is an ID card we ask badge holders to use with their badge to enter badge attractions).

You will need the badge ID card to gain free entry to any of the 200 attractions listed on our website!
