Acer Nitro 5 2021 10300H / 3060 Ram and Hard Drive Replacement

In this video im showing you how to upgrade the ram in your Acer nitro 5 2021 Model

Ram is upgraded, NVMe SSD is shown being installed
And also the 2.5" Sata hard Drive is also installled

I use this to soften adhesive on mobile devices.

my go to glue for almost everything now days!

Used to open ipad and remove glued back covers on phones

When using the heat gun near sensitive parts, its best to cover them
With this to protect them

The usual tape i use on most repairs, on screens

For things that need more Stick!,usually on tablet digitizers

A Simple Amp tester to see if your charger is actually putting out power

I have the an515-51 I went out a bought a second M.2 drive because the internet said there were 2 slots. Nope. Only has 1, so I went out and found a converter for sata. They even have duel slot capabilities I'm going to get in the future.

Very useful video for the component upgrade. Look forward some new videos about mining stuff. I am thinking of buying the same laptop for Nicehash and Chia. It seems its 3060 hashrate ethereum is around 35MH/s. It is a bit lower than Asus and MSI 3060 laptops. Cheers!

When, like you, I upped the RAM to 32Gb and added a 1/2 Tb SSD I opened it the same way, only to later see an official Acer video that showed to start separating the lower shell at the exhaust ports side. 😁

I didn't disconnect the battery though... bad me.... VERY bad me. Tomorrow I'll have to open it again to add a 1Tb M.2 drive, I'll remember to do it. 🙂

So you ditched the original RAM so that you'd have a matching pair and avoid incompatible RAM issues? I have a 16Gb stick in my existing (possibly soon to be replaced) laptop which I'm thinking of dropping into an Nitro 5 along with a much used SSD (full of my code). I'm assuming I'd need to drop the existing 8Gb & swap in the single stick of 16Gb?

Hi, I have a brand new Nitro 5 AN517-41 which came with WINDOWS 11 and am trying to fix a problem with my new 1Tb internal SATA HDD which was installed tonight. (bought directly from the manufacturer WD Blue SATA 2.5" Laptop Hard Drive HDD | Western Digital )
The hard disk is not found in "this PC", nor in "disk management" nor in the bios.
I used the cable which came with the laptop. I checked the connections and installation and all seems ok.
The side of the hdd which is facing the mounting silver tray has a pbc/circuit board, I wonder if the silver tray shorted something on the pcb. I just dont know.
Please advise.
