#5 Starfrit Electric Rotato Peeler Rotator Express (Unboxing and FIRST USE)

Today in this video I'm excited to do something a bit different, instead of cooking I will be unboxing and using for the first time the Vinteky Efficient Electric Kitchenaid Potato Apple Carrot Vegetable Fruit Peeler Machine.

This peeler was bought on Amazon Australia but its also know as the Starfrit Electric Rotato Peeler it has over 2000 positive reviews so this kitchen gadget is very popular.

The peeler in a vertical upright position allows more than just a fast way to peel apples, other fruits and vegetables that this electric peeler can peel are:

Cucumbers, Zucchinis, Eggplant, Sweet potatoes, Lemons, Limes, Radishes, Kiwis, Peaches, Pears, Apples, Beets, Tomatoes, Turnips, Onions.

I found that once I got the hang of the peeler and especially with potatoes that it was way more efficient and effective than a hand manual peeler. On one occasion, I would set up a potato in the peeler, hit the peel button and go away and eat my sandwich on for a few bites. I was able to come back intermittently to a fully peeled potato, clean up and reset with another potato and go back to eating my lunch.

Some features of the peeler include a safe design. The fact that the blades are not sharp and are bent metal means that it's pretty childproof.
Stable, whilst it does have moving parts, it doesn't move around so you don't have to stress out about it falling off the kitchen bench.
Hygenic, I still wash my potatoes after peeling, especially loose potatoes. After being handled you still want your food hygienic, I found that with the Starfrit Electric Rotato Peeler Rotator Express peeler this wasn't an issue. I just popped in the potato and that was basically most of the manual handling done except for removal.

CONS: So I did find a few things that I didn't like, for starters, it doesn't come with batteries and although it can be operated alternatively with a 6.0 Volt electrical adaptor it does not come with that either.
I also found the design to not be solid, it feels really light and plastic, its not something you would want to drop accidentally.
Awkward, it has to move arms that move downwards whilst in progress with gravity, but to reset the arms to place or remove the potato is really finicky. For some reason often turn on the machine as you trying to remove the potato.
It doesn't work all the time, it does struggle with different surfaces as you will see in the video, it did not approve of the sweet potato and did a subpar job with the tomato.
