The most important part is to not give in to the pressure of people who try to force the relationship back on you.

Discernment is key after narcissistic abuse

Nice summary Danish! I'd like to add about the agreeableness that it is okay to change your mind. If you reflexively agree to something and then realize you should not have, get used to saying firmly...even interrupting... to state, "I changed my mind." Or "I spoke too quickly. Count me out."

It may feel tough to do this, but the sense of relief afterwards is amazing.

You are the most amazing helper online for those who have been abused by a narcissist. No one is more knowledgable, encouraging, empathetic and wise. Thank you for your faithfulness. I have been abused for 34 years in my marriage. I'm going through a divorce and now being beaten up by him through the court system. You are a lifesaver!!!

Thank you Danish. I've been attracting narcissists all my life. This is excellent guidance. Much appreciated.

All of this is so true. Thank you for making the point that it is OK to cut off narcissistic loved ones for the sake of our peace. I chose to live with the guilt of cutting off my narcissist mother instead of living with her abuse. Every day I am more convinced it was the right decision.

Thank you for this channel…. I have had the most eye 👁 opening 18 months…. I have been to hell . However, this is changing slowly. I was super friendly, kind and relatively trusting….. BAM 💥….. it hit me like a rocket 🚀. I didn’t recognise myself in the midst of being abused. Illness came over me …. Lost weight, diagnosed with chrons. I am very aware now…. Sometimes too much. This is a crazy thing to go through. In ways it’s also the best. I never knew these people existed…. Now, I see them EVERYWHERE!..😬😑. Xx

Im learning to say No, if I don't want to do something, regardless of tbe consequences, as I need to be true to myself, otherwise it becomes people pleasing.🤔

Thank you for sharing that you need to cut off family and children who try to destroy your mental health. So very hard when you truly love them. You need to love yourself as well. All I can do is stay away and pray for them…and me too.

Excellent Danish. It’s hard to accept but some people are just plain evil. It may not be a conscious decision for them but is part of their nature. No one is good except God. The rest of us are a mixture of good and evil and we can choose which way to go many times during the day. Narcissists always choose evil. What will you choose today? I choose to walk in the light God has given me.

I was more popular than my narcissist. So was his OG narcissist ex-girlfriend I met. He has a type. I don't totally think I should change my persona though I probably did overshare as the storyteller of the workplace. I kind of feel numb from my narcissist and hope I'm not dating another narcissist. My narcissist and I had more intellectually in common than the current reconnection I sought out. I do share a little less, took a pay cut, and I do feel a little less. I don't imagine after my narcissist I will ever do another romantic gesture.

Hi everyone. It's my husband's nephews middle school graduation tomorrow and I'm feeling guilty about not wanting to go. My narcissistic husband did not go to our only son's HS drive through graduation. He rudely yelled at both me and my son when we asked him to go saying, "he's busy working, what do you guys not get?" It was a 30 min affair. I took the day off. For my nephew, who lives 1.5 hours away, my husband was the 1st one to say that he'll be there for the graduation and dinner. Reminder: it's a work day for both of us and with traffic, commute could be 3 hrs each way. I feel guilty about not going because I feel like I'm punishing my nephew and he has worked hard. But no body from my husband's family has ever attended any of my sons events. Like I said my husband didn't even attend my sons graduation. Should I feel guilty about not wanting to go tomorrow?
