Silk Road Mountain Race 2023 Race Report

The Silk Road Mountain Race is a 2000km bikepacking race around Kyrgyzstan. The race is predominately off road taking on high altitude mountain passes and rough tracks as the route winds its way around the country.

Josh, this is a great update. If you have a way to make the sound in the video clips softer and your voice-over louder, it would be easier to hear you over the road noise from the videos.

Really great format!
Really interesting to get your insight on the race, interspersed with actual footage. My only comment would be that it was sometimes difficult to hear your narration over the wind on the race footage.

Josh, your Race Report, which included gorgeous videos of the spectacular scenery, was AWESOME!

Really well done.

With that said, it would have been even more entertaining & exciting had you stayed closer to the top guys in the race.

So, next time, please try and bridge the gaps and get up there so you can get videos of the race leaders! :)

Oh yeah, and either lay off the squeaky brakes on the descents or swap out your pads bro!

Seriously though, it was a super entertaining race report that I’d love to see more of.

Hey Josh. Massive congratulations on your ride! Followed it all and was amazed by the sheer scale of the place and event. Truly awe-inspiring. When you hike-a-bike do you ever use a harness and if so any recommendations?
