The Syrian author Firas Al-Sawah has solved many mysteries surrounding the origins of gods and traced their roots back to the primal mother in all early cultures in his book The Mystery of Ishtar. Unfortunately, this book is written in Arabic and has not been translated into English, which could have saved you a great deal of research.

He did a great job analyzing the myth of Inanna-Ishtar’s descent into the underworld and linking it to the phases of the moon.

I truly wish his works were translated into English because, most of the time when I hear Western scholars discussing what they consider discoveries, I find that I had already read about it in Firas Al-Sawah’s writings many years ago.

The revival of Frazerism is something I've been hoping for all my life, ever since I read the Golden Bough (rhymes with "how") as a teenager and was then very disappointed to discover that most experts thought it was a load of bunk. So I've enjoyed this immensely.

Dec-Jan timeframe. Orion, at sunset, start high in sky then travels below west horizon (underworld) just before sunrise. Then reappears high in sky next night to do it again. Orion is at river erdonus. The River Styx. The River to underworld. Along with other ecliptic, solstice, equinox and constellation story’s. When u link three or more then make a narrative of interaction between them. And these stories and adventures and miracle help explain why the sky and sun and planets and earth do what they do. My thought.
