Addition Standard Algorithm

When I teach the standard algorithm, the way we learned growing up, I use colored stickers to keep the place value. Fourth graders are expected to be proficient with the standard algorithm in addition and subtraction. The students went “grocery shopping“ to practice the algorithm.
