Brief description: This session provides a brief history behind the push to have pediatric emergency care coordinators (PECCs) in emergency departments and emergency medical service agencies. It covers the PECC role and responsibilities, data from national surveys about why PECCs are critical to improving pediatric emergency care outcomes, and how we can support the PECC role.
