Trudeau grilled on Keystone XL, COVID-19 vaccine delay in 1st question period of 2021 | FULL

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced questions from opposition parties on his government's response to the pandemic as Canada's supply of Pfizer's vaccine is being reduced due to a global supply delay.

During the first question period in 2021, Trudeau insisted that Canada is still on track to reach its vaccination goal for the first quarter of the year and to have vaccines available for anyone who wants a vaccine by September 2021.

Trudeau highlighted his government's efforts to secure vaccine agreements with various providers to protect the country's supply.

Trudeau was also grilled by the opposition after U.S. President Biden's cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline project as Conservative leader Erin O'Toole said Trudeau didn't do enough to protect the thousands of jobs depending on the cancelled project.

The house also passed a motion presented by NDP leader Jagmeet Singh calling on the government to use all available tools to address hate groups and white supremacists, starting with the designation of Proud Boys as a terrorist organization.
