I love their old folk albums and always have. That being said this fresh sound holds some great atmosphere and has me very excited. I love the groove, the synth melodies, the new vocalist, all of it. I'm very eager for a new album with this lineup.

I mean I get it that artists don't want to put out the same stuff for decades and taste and preferences changes. So I am perfectly fine with them wanting to try something different, even though I and quite a lot of fans, that are fans because of the original sound and melodies, that are no longer there, don't like it.

But that's not Equilibrium anymore - the language changed, the themes in the lyrics changed, nearly all of the members changed, the sound changed extremely, even some instruments changed (no more folkstuff and much more PC), hell even the logo is different now.

It's like Amon Amarth would start doing Alestorm-Stuff - I love both bands but I don't want either of them to start being like the other one.

So why keep calling it Equilibrium? Just start a new band and let the good, old Equilibrium die (or just pause), then no one would bat an eye since it would be another thing. You are not doing yourself a favour because everyone (including me) will compare it to Turis Fratyr and Sagas, which would not happen, if you would just release this stuff as a new band, which you essentially are now.

For me personally that settles it and i´m done with Equilibrium. I´m fan since the legendary "Demo 2003" and loved the unique folk song and mystic vibes. Sadly, there is nothing left now and it sound like generic Metalcore (for me! - not a big fan of that genre, so maybe i´m wrong here). But it´s totally ok, no bad blood there. I understand that some bands evolve and process to other styles and genres. Like Equilibrium moves on, so will I. I wish the band all the best and good luck!

Damn. It sounds like a continuation of the last album, only worse. (Even more metalcore.) The new vocalist suits the band's new style. But this is no longer the Equilibrium.

As much as I liked the old sound, as much as I'm not fully convinced of the front voice in this song, I can say this IS true Equilibrium music. It would be impossible to deny it. And it is also very very good.

Really not my cup of tea but I'm sure some people will like it.
Not gonna lie, I do miss the old sound and would love new songs more in that direction. Not at all against bands evolving, but this is just too far removed from what people liked about Equilibrium. (IMO)

Equilibrium sounds better with:
- original German language
- folk music with folk instruments
- scream and growl without this metalcore shit
- sounds better without those special electronic techno effects.

LIke previous comments says. Sounds just like the last few albums, but for me Robse suited much more. Of course Helge was the best. Miss the old Folk Equilibrium. It's not folk metal anymore.
I think it's not even an epic metal genre anymore. It's evolving into something what Equilibrium is certainly not known of.

I was initially highly critical of the new style. After a few more listens, I do hear the "Equilibrium sound" and I think a lot of people are put off by a relatively small number of style decisions. Yes there are some differences, but the basis of the band is still there. I wish you all the best, of course. Music is still music.

Fabian is a very good vocalist, and I don't think I've seen anyone saying anything else.

The songs used to be filled with an atmosphere of fantasy and adventure, textures of forests/mountains/sailing the high seas, creative melodies, and a unique sound. They blended folk and symphonic elements in a way that was like no one else. Now it's generic metalcore with only glimpses of their former brilliance. "Evolving" as a band isn't always a good thing. RIP Equilibrium.

I do miss the old Equilibrium. This doesn’t sound like the band anymore, but that’s fine, bands change over time. It is apart of the process, especially after so many member changes. The new vocalist definitely fits the new sound so a great choice was made in that reguards! Nothing but the best for Equilibrium! I do hope we get to hear Skar more in future songs, which means I’m still into hearing more :)

At this point the band should have just changed their name. It's such a bizarre mashup of elements, from metalcore to industrial, that just doesn't work, it's so far removed from the band's original sound. Almost impossible to think this band actually made 'Sagas'.

Well .... okay. Sadly Equilibrium turns more and more into ... not being Equilibrium at all. The legend that could have been.

Oh... boy, that was rough to say the least. Equilibrium always had this folkish element that no other band has, very unique and moving. Now what's left of it is just a fracture of what it once was and woven into your standard, run-at-the-mill Metalcore band. I was done listening to Equilibrium after Renegades, being the biggest slap in my face. I gave it 'nother shot with this single and missed the mark for me completely. But not to worry though, I'll just be moving on. I'm not saying it's bad or anything, it's just not for me.

Turis Fratyr and Sagas already have a special place in my heart and rest of the discography before Renegade of course. I wish René and the band the best of luck in upcoming tours and what-nots and most all; Have fun!

I'll never understand why the members who wanted/want to pursue this style of music didn't just start a side project and keep it separate from Equilibrium. The early albums were one of a kind. Too bad that it seems that they are done with that...
