Been trying this for a while, and I think it's important to note that if you don't tilt your hand a little while riffling, the cards will not spread out at all. Seen a lot of comments saying that the cards don't fan, so try tilting your hand a little more!

What is unsatisfying about most flourish tutorials, is that they tell you to "just do this", because they already know how to actually do something, but never take into account the kind of difficulties one can have when starting doing something new.

Like someone else commented here, I riffle and the cards simply stay there, they don't move.
Of course I'm doing something wrong, of course it's my fault, but a tutorial should cover these kind of things.

You need practice to do something well, but it's impossible to practice and get better if you can't even begin doing what you're trying to do.

There are moves I thought were really easy from the first try, and others I find impossible, because I can't find an explaination of what I could be doing wrong (one example for me is the top shot, no matter what, the damn card will just stick to my index finger instead of shooting).

This tutorial is the equivalent of teaching a double lift saying "you have to pick the first two cards and turn them together".

Edit: I wasn't trying to start the argument, I was just asking if I was doing something wrong, because they weren't going around. Thanks for the help (for the people that were actually trying to help)

So let me get this clear cause I don't really know who dmitri is and I just started with this. Dmitri created the riffle shuffle and if you want to see a tutorial you have to pay for it right? And everyone is mad about this Video cause they published a free Tutorial for this trick? So if you wanted to learn guitar and there are classes for 120€ /1h, do you still get mad at the guy who makes it for free (which is funny cause the guitar teacher download the sheets from songs which aren't self made songs) ? Or if David Blaine made up a new magic trick and there is a Youtube Video about his trick, is this bad? According to this there will be only a very few people learning anything even cardistry.

Guys if you have any problems, try tilting the deck a little to your right, and then forward, it helps, and the pressure point on your pointer must be emphasised, press it hard

Her hands are so tiny! My hands are in pain every day I wake up, but I'm never complaining again. I can't imagine the stretchiness needed..
