In all honesty; monster hunter has been one of the most successful game genres out there. And that’s because the moment to moment gameplay is satisfying and fun with the combos weapons and the sheer monsters mechanics. I feel like I would get bored because the gameplay doesn’t really hold my interest. Wounding a monster in the MH series causes the monster move and react different. For example a flying monster will fly but targeting the wings causes the monster to be grounded longer because it’s hurt. It’s those nuances that keeps me in the monster hunter series for so long. Hopefully they implement something like that.

See, I think the Dev team played it smart, rather than challenge Monster Hunter on it's "cavepunk" aesthetic and style of hunting, they've leaned into the fantasy elements more which really works for it. The games feel will be the biggest factor, how it handles, how impactful attacking feels etc

No exaggerated character voice when making attacks, finally after all these years i can enjoy the amazing orchestral music and soothing slash attack sound effects without worrying about repetitive voice lines.
