Ethiopia: Mekdes' Story

Nine years ago, Mekdes was homeless in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; her kids had limited access to education and other basic needs. Through Bethany’s Family Preservation and Empowerment program, she received a monthly sponsorship to afford schooling and healthcare for her kids. She also studied culinary arts to provide an income for her family. Today, Mekdes’s family is thriving.
