I Go to Prepare a Place For You - Not What We Have Been Taught !!!

How we yearn for the mansion Jesus is preparing for us in his Father's house, but is he really building us a mansion?

I've been teaching this for a while. It's good to see others gaining the same understanding.. "I go to prepare a place..." Jesus said this before the crucifixion. He was speaking of His death and resurrection. Preparing a place is what He did on the cross.
"I go..." means to journey, travel, and die.
"prepare" is a verb in the present tense.

1 Peter 2:4, 5

The word place is the real clue to this verse. The place he is preparing for us is the New Jerusalem that descends from heaven in the book of Revelation. No one is going to heaven, instead we are told FIVE times in John chapter 14 that he is coming and we will be with him after that. John 14:3 says he is coming to receive us and then we will be with him where he is. John 14:18 says he will come to us. John 14:21 says he will manifest (show/reveal) himself to us. In John 14:23 he includes the Father in his coming and says they will make their abode with us. In John 14:28 he once again speaks of himself coming to us. If one just reads their own Bible and this whole chapter then the truth is obvious that we are not going to heaven. We are promised that the meek shall inherit the earth and we are told that the kingdom will come and Father's will shall be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven. Please read Rev chapters 21 and 22 also. You will see that AFTER new Jerusalem descends THEN in Rev 21:24-26 and 22:14 those who are saved and keep the commandments will enter thru the gates.

Quite interesting. I could see where this could be derived from scripture as I have come to understand it. As it does say his saints will judge the nations. As fascinating as that sounds, I would prefer to get to a place where I am judging no one. In this world I already do to much of that. To the point where it makes me sick and troubles my soul.
