You just solved a 50 year mystery for me! I was like 7 and saw a Pebbles & BamBam episode where Pebbles got to staring at a woman’s bracelet and said she was looking at the woman’s compact. I couldn’t understand why she called a bracelet a compact, which even that young I knew about makeup. That bracelet compact just solved it for me!! Thank you!! ❤❤❤

You’ve made me want to look up how African American women of the same period might have worn similar pieces and how they would’ve created and formulated the powers in appropriate shades for themselves, since there probably wasn’t a wide variety of shades (or any, a thought based on failings with today’s cosmetic manufacturers and product color ranges).
