The :: selection pseudo element

The :: selection pseudo element is useful for styling the current text select. It supports a selected subset of properties such as background colour and foreground colour.

⚠️ Most people are accustomed to the usual colors of text selection and using something different without reason might be confusing.

🎨 Also ensure to look after the color contrast such that the text is well readable in the selected state!
