Some of the computational issues that we have today are based around how many digits of π the calculator actually uses to do the calibration. Just because the next number in line seems insignificant doesn't mean it wont have an impact on things we see in the universe.

This reminded me of the time when, as a very young nerd, I challenged myself to remember as many digits of Pi as I could. I think I got to, oh, maybe like 30? And then of course I proceeded to immediately forget all but the first 3. 😅
I can't believe I've never heard of this conspiracy before! Maybe because there aren't any Bass Pro Shops anywhere near where I live? We do have Big 5 though, so I'm sure at least a few people have somehow managed to decide that there's some hidden meaning in the "5, " because after all— once people fall into the Conspiracy Rabbit Hole, literally *everything* becomes part of Them and Their evil plans.
Seriously— I've heard folks claim the McDonald's golden arches are a satanic symbol, Freemasons are lizard people who rule the world, and that the Starbucks logo is a secret— or not so secret since it's evidently so obvious?— symbol representing an eeeevil (albeit remarkably confusing) plot for Jewish World Domination via "stealing the throne of Persia"...despite the fact that Persia no longer technically exists and the Pahlavi throne was overthrown during the Irani civil war all the way back in 1978. But I think my fave is still the P&G logo conspiracy: I personally know someone who went to a Catholic girls grade school in the 70s, and at one point the nuns gave her a mimeograph to take home instructing parents to boycott all P&G products and explaining the supposed "satanic significance" of every part of the logo. Her poor mom was apparently *so* upset to learn that her beloved Ivory Soap was actually made from the blood of unbaptized babies, or something.

What always gets me though is, if these conspiracies are SO secret, how so many people are able to easily spot them!? I mean, just sayin'— if I was going to start an evil world domination conspiracy, it just seems like plain common sense to not openly advertise it?
And yes, I know that the excuse made by conspiracy theorists is that a contract with Satan for some reason involves a clause requiring evidence of the conspiracy to be revealed through various clues...but TBH, that's just so bloody stupid I have trouble believing that even most conspiracy theorists could believe it. I mean, who TF signs a secret contract containing a clause saying it can't actually be secret?? That's like signing an NDA with a clause requiring both parties to reveal whatever the NDA is meant to keep secret! If I were Satan in that situation, I'd for sure get better lawyers...especially since I'm pretty sure hell would definitely have a fairly significant population of unethical attorneys, no? 😅🤔😆
