Cool!!! This will make a great tool for research if you install a high quality camera shooting straight down (something with a big sensor like a Sony NEX5). It will cost much less to count seals that way, and be more accurate, compared to going there on a boat (assuming you make it back to land of course). No sea sickness will be an added bonus.

You've got guts to fly so far with this expensive equipment. Did your friend attempt to do the same with his quad?
