there was a certain night at one of the two sleepaway camp sessions i did in summer 2018. it was unit night, and all of the campers grade 7-12 were doing trivia. i was really bad at it, and didn’t know most of the answers, so i kind of just zoned out and stared out the window. at some point this song started going through my head as i looked out the window. it was dark and i could barely see outside, but the emptiness and peacefulness outside along with this song playing in my mind made me want to run down the beach all alone, not sad and alone but peaceful and alone. i don’t know, this song is just... special.
