"Light Year" lyrics

Come down on me I won’t be anyone else
Clip time with me ride with me chasing my thrills
He’s leaving me even you and everyone else
It seems it’s getting worse but who can really tell

I’m stepping outside now I’ll leave you behind now
I finally came down I’m ready to let it all out
How did I get here? Feels like a lightyear
I should have no fear yet my hands are slick

Look down on me but try to be there for me still
Doesn’t really seem like you’re loving yourself
Why don’t you climb to the top of my hill and rest up your legs on the stone

Never try to lie to me
Cause you will fuck up everything
Toss a number in my lottery
You aren’t who you try to be
You aren’t who you try to be at all

How did I get here? Feels like a lightyear
I should have no fear yet my hands are slick

This was by far my favorite song on this album and though I think I was expecting a different kind of video, I appreciate the concept and shining light on the accomplishments of the scientific community is always a +1 in my book.

You know 15-20 years ago like in 2003-2007 or something when was a kid, we listen to all sorts of punk or poppunk bands like four year strong, sum41, box car racer, bowling for soup, yellowcard, a day to remember, new found glory and many many many others. it was like best music in all fucking times. And now when im almost 30 i discover new bands like Story So Far and im so happy cuz i listen to them and feels like god this is even better then music we listen 15 years ago! Makes me cry.

Light Year was definitely an introduction into their more mature stuff. Absolutely adore this song.

Love that people connect with music in so many ways. Such a powerful tool that unites us as humans.

I think their increased attention to detail on their music videos is also a sign of a maturing band. I remember watching the Heavy Gloom music video being like “what.”

Well... this is something i'd expect from Angels & Airwaves.
It's looking good though.

This is my favorite song from the album. And I love the idea, This is a unique partnership made possible through the NASA Social program, allowing us to learn of the work that NASA is presently doing. 🖤

I think this is pretty cool, i personally love learning about space, and knowing that one of my favorite bands are into this too, and are willing to informate their fans of the exploration of mars through one of their videos seems awesome to me, this could have been an compilation of live footage video, or maybe even a more structured video with a story, and that would've been absolutely good, but TSSF took a step forward and gave us this wondelful 3 minute documental.
