Just like any employee leaving a company for "personal and professional reasons, " it's none of our business. That detail is confidential and labor laws forbid the employer to publicize them. I appreciated Yoshi's portrayal of Philip, and wish him all the very best in his future endeavors.

Yoshi did an amazing job IMO. His character stood out from Yoshi's charisma as a devoted disciple, believer, authentic. In the scenes with Nathaniel's conversion, his convincing "Come and see" talk to Nathaniel was pure genuine concern as well as when he was w Nathaniel being introduced to Jesus. Also his look was distinctive. New Phillip looks average; less distinctive. Every one of the disciples has a distinctive identity for good reason, its scriptural. Little James is totally different than Thomas, Matthew or Simon. Yoshi, we will miss you. Thank you for your work in developing Phillip's identity, thus adding depth to the group of 12.

If you just can’t imagine why “they” would want to fire him or let him go, then just quit “trying to Imagine” and pray that Yoshi and the Chosen both have continued success!

1. Fans don't DESERVE an explanation. They just WANT one.
2. It doesn't matter why he was let go. If he wants us to know, he will open up about it at some point.
3. Maybe Yoshi doesn't WANT fans to know. Maybe the details, if revealed, could hurt his career or reflect poorly on him or others. Maybe they agreed to keep it vague so as to not spread gossip.

It doesn’t matter what either. He was wonderful as Yoshi. I pray he does why in his up coming projects. I pray grace on the new actor taking the role and the chosen as a whole. I also believe and pray they work together again when it works for them both to do so.

I felt like Yoshi needed to leave for his own personal reasons and he was allowed to break his contract and leave, thus "We chose to LET him go". But that is just my own personal interpretation.

It’s not our business to know why someone leaves a job. If I were fired from a job, I probably wouldn’t want it broadcast all over the Internet.

Although we'll really miss Yoshi and loved how he played Philip, We assume that some of the vagueness regarding the explanation of his leaving may have to do with personal privacy... Probably an agreement between him and The Chosen. We have faith in Dallas Jenkins, his wife and our 'The Chosen' family to have chosen the best person for the role of Phillip. Their record in picking the perfect people for all the roles is impeccable for sure. We definitely wish Yoshi the very best! 💖🙏💖
