You provide a refreshing and interesting take on this. I'm a guitar player trying to use your ideas on guitar. So, you are playing in the key of C. You "borrow" the E7b9/G# 3 chord and use its R, 3rd, 4th 5th, b7 then add the b9 and b6 correct? This is the E phrygian dominant scale correct? You resolve this to the 6 chord A minor correct? Does this only work well when resolving to a minor chord or can you still get back to C major?
