EQUIP CLASSROOMS FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM

Challenge:
Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have complex neurodevelopmental differences, and uninterrupted special education in properly equipped classrooms is the only effective way to lead active and independent lives. Today, only 13% of school-age children with autism have access to special education in Turkey.

Solution:
TOHUM Autism Foundation will train teachers and equip ten public school classrooms in the underprivileged areas of Turkey with innovative technologies and Tolkido, which teaches new words and increases children's attention span with autism.

Long-term Impact:
The quality of life of underprivileged children with autism and their families will improve, and they will become independent individuals and become active members of society.
