Releasing Ladybugs & Wasps in the organic garden?

It's time for some natural pest control in our organic garden! Learn why we do this in today's video!

Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!

Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

ladybugs and wasps are our main pesticide at our house, but unfortunately, being Canadian, its like winter now or something, so no bug friends for me, lol

As I was watching this, I heard one of your chickens singing their egg song and I looked outside because I thought it was one of mine. Ha! 😅

Super great advice on releasing at night and spraying water in your garden first. I know there is no guarantee that the ladybugs will stay, but your tips will certainly help create an atmosphere that they will love. Thanks for the great info. I will use this method too. Hugs to you and your family❤️

Very cool, we released some lady bugs this spring and after a day, we barely saw them in the garden if ever. I thought they had literally flew away and left our property. However, now that fall is here, I am starting to see them more often. Was your experience a bit different or pretty much the same. I can't say I saw a huge reduction in bugs, but I did see fewer damage to leaves. Our issue is mosquitoes, so we also have bat houses around the property. Although they prefer the eaves of our house...lol. I may have to post a video about our bats, the unofficial addition to the homestead! Thanks again! Kenny (Life on Beagle Road)

We resided our house one year and it was nothing but a wall of ladybugs underneath.

If I release ladybugs in our green house, should I leave the door/windows open or trap them in with water? Thanks!

I had earwigs all over my corn this year - ate the silks down to nubbins then went inside and started eating the developing corn! Any natural control for earwigs?
