Most parking garages have a safe amount of time when you can return the ticket and not have to pay anything. You can take advantage of this by grabbing a brand new ticket right befor you leave the garage and show it. This means you won’t have to pay anything for the ticket!

The meter can sense if a vehicle is at the entrance meter. If you have already entered, your body won't trick the meter to spit out a new ticket.

Lol. Wrong. There's either a scale/weight sensor or some other form to sense a vehicle is there before a ticket is actually able to be dispensed.

Hello 10 years in parking guy here.

99% of garage equipment installed in the last 10 years will have induction loops in the ground that can sense a vehicle (look for the lines). If you bring a piece of metal and place it on those this MAY work because typically there is a second set on the other side that will make sure a vehicle drives through or it auto closes the ticket.

Second. A fair amount of garages are also installing LPR (license plate recognition). This will pair a plate to your ticket. If the exit plate doesn’t match the entrance plate they typically get flagged and looked into and depending on your state can get placed against your vehicle registration.

Lastly, press the intercom and tell them you’re a monthly Parker for business XYZ(look on the building directory) and that you’re in a rental. Some ask for a name most minimum wage employees can’t be bothered with the work and open the gate.

There is a weight sensor usually but not alwayd anf everywhere, it could be possible if the parking guy doesnt see you

they're is no weight sensor 🙄, it detects metal, i just use a pizza pan and lay it on the ground to get a new ticket
