Sam Smith Reveals ‘Writing’s On the Wall’ Theme Song

As much a part of the movie as the main man himself, James Bond theme tunes are always the source of endless discussion and dissection. Over the years, the franchise has gifted us with some amazing classics, such as “Goldfinger” and “Live and Let Die” and also some less memorable ones (or maybe ones that we’d prefer to forget) such as “Another Way to Die” (Quantam of Solace) and “Moonraker”, which failed to make either the UK or U.S charts. The last Bond theme, “Skyfall” performed by Adele, charted at number 2 in the UK (8 in the U.S), and was widely viewed in a very positive light. Written by Adele and Paul Epworth, the song won the Oscar for Best Song as well as the Golden Globe and Brit Award. Looking to at least emulate its success, Sam Smith has now released the 24th Bond theme for the upcoming Spectre, entitled “Writing’s On The Wall”.

i personally think sam smith did a good job continuing the vibe of skyfall as that's the style they're now continuing into spectre. adele was something else, but this isn't a bad follow-up

Not the worst Bond theme, that belongs to Quantum of Solace. I agree though, another singer would have been better. The John Barry stuff is great though.

People who like Sam Smith and writings on the wall, were obviously Sam Smith fans before the song got out. And I bet 90% of them are girls! Girls who have no idea of who James Bond is, ..who havent seen all the Bondfilms nor even ever read a James Bond book. People who DISlike Sam Smith and His Bondsong are mainly MEN, and 90% of the hardcore James Bond fans. The debat is really not about Sam Smith or the song. it´s about James Bond, and how the song and the way Sam Smith sings it, , doesent fit the traditional James Bond style. So if you´re a girl and you like Sam and his song...fine! But it still a SHITTY AWFULL Bond themesong, Mainly bescuse of Sam Smith and his singing style and girlievoice.
