ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns with multi-Grammy-nominated Cuban-born singer-songwriter and actress Camila Cabello claiming her red chair alongside superstar returning coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Carson Daly returns as host for Season 22.

The show's innovative format features four stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts and Live Performance Shows. This season's Battle Advisors include Charlie Puth (Team Camila), Jazmine Sullivan (Team Legend), Jimmie Allen (Team Blake) and Sean Paul (Team Gwen). For the first time ever, the third phase of the competition will include three-way knockouts.

In the Live Performance Shows, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast, and the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

Not one to comment usually but….

Sheesh! How did Omar not win in a show called “The Voice”? Has that type of voice that makes you want to listen to more and a great performer on top of that. Range, tone, support, control, versatility, … all this without trying to sound like the original singers. Originality bonus points!

Don’t get me wrong, the winner Bryce sang well (for the country music ear) but just did all the gimmicks of country music with no originality on top. A voice that can easily be forgotten in the vast soundalikes of the genre. Bryce also sounded exactly the same in all his performances. Don’t believe me? Watch his complete performance video and just let it play for a couple of seconds while you hit the “skip a couple secs” button several times in between until the video finishes. Then tell me if you can tell when one song starts and the other finishes (assuming you don’t know the lyrics to the songs). Snooze fest!

Lastly, the other singers did better as well! But I guess people get lost in the sauce of one genre because it’s the flavor of the month.

Omar, the real “voice” people’s champ! 🥇🏆
